Significant breakthroughs in the development of scientific research platforms

☆ In February 2013, the Cardiovascular Remodeling Laboratory was upgraded from a Province-Ministry jointly established Key Laboratory to a Ministry of Education Key Laboratory, which indicates a new stage in our studies in cardiovascular diseases.

☆ In July 2013, by integrating the advantages in prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases of the entire Capital Medical University and with the cooperation of various domestic universities and research institutes, the Beijing Joint Innovation Center for Prevention and Treatment of Major Cardiovascular Diseases was approved, with an annual supporting fund of 10 million Yuan. This approval provided platform and financial support for accumulating a first-class academic team and resources, building a high-caliber talent training base, and creating significant academic achievements.

☆ Cooperated with Beijing Anzhen Hospital in preparing Beijing TCM and Western-Combined Cardiovascular Diseases Research Institute, to explore new thoughts in treating cardiovascular diseases by combining traditional Chinese medicines with western medicines.

☆ Participated in China’s First Cardiovascular Disease Clinical Research Center

☆ Established the Sleep Apnea Syndrome and Cardiovascular Research Platform

☆ Established Small Animals PET/CT High-End Scientific Research Sharing Platform

☆ To maintain a focus on research in cardiovascular-related diseases, established a cardiovascular disease transgenic animal model platform, cardiovascular pathophysiologic platform, small animal noninvasive radiographic platform, cardiovascular genetic diagnosis platform, and a major cardiovascular disease transformation achievement platform.

☆ In October 2013, the Institute was upgraded to Grade I in reform and development appraisal for nonprofit public organizations by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology.
