Considering the demand for scientific and discipline development, the Institute has had much success in talent recruitment in recent years and has further improved the process of flexible talent introduction. In the next 5 years, the Institute will also launch its effort to establish a National Innovation Team; to introduce or invite strategic experts, high-caliber talents, and partners; and to establish a diversified and well-developed talent team. The goals of these efforts are to lay the talent foundation for improving our competitiveness in scientific research and providing intellectual support and talent for our scientific and technological advancement.

The institute will promote Overseas Talent Recruitment Program and continually enhance collaboration in scientific research team.

1.Appoint Professor Zhang Yun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and expert in cardiovascular medicine, as Honorary Director of the Beijing Institute of Heart, Lung, and Blood Vessel Diseases

2.Recruit Ma Xinliang, Beijing Overseas Talent Introduction Program and Changjiang Scholar Program Distinguished Professor, as Vice Director of the Beijing Institute of Heart, Lung, and Blood Vessel Diseases

3.Appoint Professor Yu Cheuk Man from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as Guest Professor

4.Appoint Song Wenchao, tenured Professor of Department of Pharmacology of University of Pennsylvania, as Beijing Overseas Talent Assembly Program talent

5.Currently, the Institute has 21 personnel with senior professional titles, 17 with deputy senior professional titles, 33 with intermediate professional titles, 7 doctoral supervisors of Capital Medical University. Of 14 master supervisors, 8 are associated with Capital Medical University and 6 are with the Beijing Institute of Heart, Lung, and Blood Vessel Diseases.
