Research Interests: Community-based secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease.

· “Multinational monitoring of trends and determinants in cardiovascular disease project”. Funded by WHO MONICA Project. Support period: 1984–1993.
· “Action in diabetes and vascular disease: Preterax and diamicron-MR controlled evaluation”. Funded by ADVANCE Project. Support period: 2002–present.
· “Improving medication adherence of AF patients with anticoagulant treatment by a new care model”. Funded by the Beijing Excellent Person Program. Support period: 2008–2010.
· “Construction of a health management system”. Funded by the National Science and Technology Pillar Program during China’s Eleventh Five-Year Plan.
Jianglian Su has also participated in the Chinese Hypertension Intervention Efficacy (CHIEF) trial; research evaluating training effects on rural doctors, initiated by the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau; the development of a model to estimate project budgets; research evaluating the status of research items and their achievements in application; and the development of a tool for cardiovascular disease risk assessment.
